Last night, I watched Shutter. It is a really good movie. And the Asian woman actually ended up being good even though in the beginning you think she is crazy. I think it would be funny to get a haircut like hers but I do not look good in bangs but is it worth it to scare my friends? I think so. I could just chop all the bangs off in the end. I could just sit in the chair and tilt my head and stare at someone. I know who my first "victim" would be. She tends to slam doors a lot and likes vodka collins-extra vodka less collins.
So the moral of the movie is do not mess with Asian woman because we are crazy and will haunt you even though we are dead. Bhahahahahaa. At least the Japanese woman are. I do not know about Koreans.
So yesterday Paddock came to our test late and it cut into our test time. It was really annoying and I figured it was because he isn't tenured so why care? I am going to enclose the email. But luckily, he is going to curve the test a lot. Yet, he should have had his act together. He is partially responsible for our education and we are paying him.
Dear Students:
I apologize for arriving late to class for our test. The error with the tests was my own. I am glad I discovered it before I handed out the tests, although of course I wish I had discovered it before I printed the test, or before I closed my office door to come to our class, a few minutes before 4pm. Once I discovered the error, I had to reformat, print, and make copies of the test, and I did it as quickly as possible.
I want to be sure you understand that because your final score on the test is determined by how your score compares to all the scores on the test, the overall distribution of scores will not be lower because you had 50 minutes rather than 80 minutes to complete the test. Just as I did with the first test, I will add points to everyone's score until there is a sufficiently large portion of A's, a sufficiently small portion of D's/F's, and a mean score of about 80. To accomplish this for this test's scores, I will very likely add more points to each score than I normally do. That is why I thought it was in your collective interest to take the test, even with 50 minutes.
A quick note: We have a terrific guest speaker on Monday. She will offer an approach to addressing poverty that is different than any other we have learned this semester. In addition, you will enjoy her visit. I guarantee it will not be typical, and it will be participatory.
Sincerely,
Todd
James, my parents and I went to went to the MN Zoo. Well we stopped by this sloth exhibit. We spent a good 15 minutes looking for this sloth so James could see his favorite animal. I swear he likes the most awkward animals. Most people like horses, tigers, dogs, cats, dolphins, whales, sharks etc...James likes platypuses, turtles and sloths. He has picture of a turtle on his laptop. Oh well, I still love him, sloth and all.
